Dr. Marc DeLorenzo

Dr. Marc DeLorenzo, DMD, is the owner dentist at Gilford Dental, where he is dedicated to providing exceptional dental care in a positive and comfortable environment. Dr. DeLorenzo's journey in dentistry began in 2019 in Portland, Maine, before he established his practice in Gilford.

A graduate of the University of Alabama for his undergraduate studies, Dr. DeLorenzo earned his doctorate from the prestigious Tufts University School of Dental Medicine. He was inspired to enter the dental field by a local dentist he met while working at his parents' convenience store during high school. Impressed by the dentist's joy in his profession and the positive impact he had on people's lives, Dr. DeLorenzo found his calling.

What Dr. DeLorenzo loves most about his work is helping patients regain confidence in their smiles, whether it's repairing chipped front teeth they've hidden for years or alleviating pain. He takes great satisfaction in ensuring his patients are comfortable both emotionally and physically throughout their dental experience. As a practice owner, he is committed to fostering a positive work environment that promotes a healthy work-life balance and opportunities for professional growth for his team.

Outside of the office, Dr. DeLorenzo enjoys an active lifestyle. He can often be found hiking with his two dogs, Jenny and Enzo, hitting the slopes for a ski run, or playing tennis or pickleball. While he modestly claims not to have any unique hobbies, his passion for outdoor activities and sports is evident.

A recent and exciting development in Dr. DeLorenzo's life is the arrival of his first child, Audrey, born in September 2024. This new chapter as a father adds another dimension to his already fulfilling life and career.

Lori

Office Manager

Lori serves as the practice manager at Gilford Dental, bringing over 30 years of experience in the dental and medical fields to her role. With a career that began in oral surgery in 1989, Lori's professional journey has come full circle, returning to dentistry after spending several years in the medical sector.

As practice manager, Lori oversees Gilford Dental's daily operations, ensuring efficient patient flow and a positive experience for all who visit. Her extensive background and dedication to patient care make her an invaluable asset to the practice. Lori has been an integral part of the Gilford Dental team since 2001, contributing to the practice's growth and success over the years.

What drew Lori to the dental field was a great opportunity that presented itself early in her career. She finds immense satisfaction in being part of a team that emphasizes collaboration and shared responsibility for patient outcomes. Lori particularly enjoys interacting with patients and working alongside the caring and dedicated professionals at Gilford Dental.

Outside of work, Lori fully enjoys the natural beauty of the Lakes Region. An outdoor enthusiast, she enjoys cycling, walking, and snowshoeing, making the most of the area's mountains and lakes.

Lori has a unique passion for upcycling furniture. After purchasing an old house with a cellar full of hidden treasures, she discovered her love for transforming vintage pieces into functional, modern items while honoring their history. She also has an interesting collection of old wooden boat oars.

A fun fact about Lori that might surprise many is that she has never placed an order on Amazon.

Through her role at Gilford Dental, her outdoor pursuits, and her creative hobbies, Lori Bordeau embodies a spirit of dedication, adventure, and appreciation for both the past and present.

Kelsey

Patient Coordinator

Kelsey Oechsner serves as the patient coordinator at Gilford Dental, where she has been an integral part of the team since fall 2021. Although new to dentistry when she joined, Kelsey has quickly become proficient in her role under the guidance of Lori, the office manager with 25 years of experience in the field.

As patient coordinator, Kelsey's responsibilities include new patient onboarding, insurance benefit coordination and verification, treatment planning, and scheduling. She takes pride in contributing to the excellent patient experience the clinical staff provides.

Kelsey's background in medical settings led her to explore dentistry as a career path. She has thrived in the small, close-knit office environment at Gilford Dental, where her coworkers have become like family. Kelsey particularly enjoys building relationships with patients and values the strong sense of community at the practice.

Outside of work, Kelsey is an avid outdoor enthusiast. She and her husband spend much of their free time sailing on Lake Winnipesaukee, and she also enjoys fishing, hiking, and exploring nature. On indoor days, Kelsey indulges her creative side through painting and crafting.

One of Kelsey's unique hobbies is repurposing furniture, a skill she's used to create special pieces for her children. Her background in geology has also fostered a passion for "rock hunting," resulting in an impressive collection of rocks and fossils.

A little-known fact about Kelsey is her intriguing upbringing. Born and raised in Wyoming near Yellowstone National Park, she grew up in a family that owned a hunting outfit business and guided expeditions worldwide. This distinctive childhood has played a significant role in shaping her into the person she is today.

Natasha

Registered Dental Hygienist

Natasha has been a dedicated dental hygienist at Gilford Dental since June 3, 2019. With over two decades of experience in the dental field, her journey began in high school, where she first started answering phones and scheduling appointments. This early exposure led to sterilization work and chairside assisting, fueling her passion for dentistry. Natasha pursued her love for the field by earning a Bachelor of Science in Dental Hygiene from the University of New England in Portland, Maine.

Natasha strongly believes in treating others with kindness, understanding, and compassion, building trust and rapport with patients and her team.

Outside of the office, Natasha enjoys spending time with her two sons Bradley & Cody, attending their sporting events and finding time to read, hike, and seek out new adventures throughout New England. 

Fun Fact about Natasha, she also has a unique talent for woodworking, having crafted furniture like dining tables and cribs, as well as over a thousand handmade decor signs!

Becky

Registered Dental Hygienist

Becky is a dedicated registered dental hygienist whose career in dentistry spans three decades. Beginning her journey in 1994 as a dental assistant, she has since evolved into a highly skilled hygienist, bringing a wealth of experience and compassion to her role at Gilford Dental. For Becky, dentistry is more than a profession—it's a way to help people by guiding patients toward optimal oral health or supporting her team with her extensive knowledge.

Becky's passion for dentistry is deeply rooted in her family history. Inspired by her mother, who was also a dental hygienist, she pursued her education at NHTI and has never looked back. What she loves most about her work is her ability to connect with patients and ease their fears. Over the years, she has formed countless bonds with patients and colleagues alike, making Gilford Dental not just a workplace but a community.

With her experience in every position within a dental office, Becky is always ready to lend a hand wherever needed. Her colleagues appreciate her willingness to help and her deep understanding of the dental field, which she has been a part of since 1994 and specifically as a hygienist since 2010.

Outside the office, Becky leads a vibrant life with activities reflecting her love for the outdoors and creativity. Whether boating, fishing, gardening, or playing cribbage, she approaches everything enthusiastically. Her gardening skills are particularly noteworthy, especially when it comes to her family's tradition of pickling using her grandmother's sour pickle recipe and her own garlic dill creation.

A fun and lesser-known fact about Becky is that she holds multiple licenses, including a cosmetology license she earned in 1990. This diverse background highlights her multifaceted talents and her drive to continually learn and grow.

Becky's journey from dental assistant to hygienist, her love for helping others, and her rich personal life make her an integral part of the Gilford Dental team and a beloved caregiver to her patients.

Steph

Dental Assistant

Stephanie joined the Gilford Dental team in 2023, bringing with her a vibrant energy and a passion for making people smile—literally! As a dental assistant, Stephanie thrives in her role by assisting with clinical duties and ensuring that every patient feels at ease, even in the most stressful situations. Her positive attitude is contagious, and she takes pride in making her coworkers laugh, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere for both the team and patients.

Stephanie's journey into the dental field began at the Northeast Collaborative School of Dental Assisting, where she honed her skills and discovered her true calling. For her, dentistry isn't just about fixing teeth; it's about helping people rediscover their confidence and joy through their smiles. The Gilford Dental team, which she fondly describes as a family, is where Stephanie found the perfect place to combine her love for patient care with her lighthearted spirit.

When she's not at the dental office, Stephanie is an avid outdoor enthusiast. She enjoys hiking, running 5Ks, and spending sunny days at the beach. But her hobbies don't end there—Stephanie's basement karaoke bar is the stage for lively sing-alongs with her husband and their cats, proving that she's always up for a good time. On Sundays, you might find her unwinding in a more low-key way, getting cozy with a game of The Sims 4.

A unique and fun fact about Stephanie? She plays the banjolele, a quirky instrument that perfectly matches her playful personality. Whether she's strumming away or assisting a patient, Stephanie's goal remains the same: to bring a smile to everyone's face.

Cori

Dental Assistant

Cori is a compassionate and dedicated dental assistant at Gilford Dental, where she helps create a warm, welcoming environment for every patient. With on-site training and a radiology certification from Boston University, Cori brings both skill and heart to her role. She’s passionate about making patients feel safe and at ease during their visits.

Cori’s journey into the dental field began with a personal experience; her brother suffered a serious mouth injury, and witnessing his treatment sparked her curiosity and interest in dental care. That experience planted the seed for a career rooted in empathy, knowledge, and a desire to help others smile with confidence.

Outside the office, Cori is a proud girl mom who enjoys camping, photography, and spending relaxing days by the lake. Her love of the outdoors and natural sense of calm translates seamlessly into her work, where she’s known for her ability to put even the most anxious patients at ease.
